Agfa HealthCare presents scope of cardiac systems
At ACC (American College of Cardiology) 2007 in New Orleans Agfa HealthCare showcased its integrated approach to cardiology information management. The Agfa HealthCare Cardiovascular solution includes cardiac catheterization, echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, and ECG (electrocardiogram) data management, to create a single integrated cardiovascular information system. The product suite provides secure access to critical cardiology information, a form of electronic health record for cardiology.

At the show the company demonstrated scheduling and management reporting functions that integrate time-sensitive information of cardiology, radiology, surgery, and other patient-care departments. The Scheduling for Cardiology module is a web-enabled scheduling system for resources management within cardiovascular departments built for multiple, persona-based workflows. Scheduling for Cardiology’s web-based architecture provides viewing and management of resource availability from any point of access to the hospital network.

Agfa HealthCare also showcased its Nuclear Cardiology solution, part of its overall Cardiovascular offering. The system delivers multimodality image reviews and quantitative analysis for nuclear cardiology and cardiology departments. The solution provides a single point of access to multiple image modalities to enhance cardiac patient care. Displayed on the company’s dual monitor Cardiovascular Review Station, a comprehensive view of patient exams is readily available to cardiologists.
