Agfa Healthcare has inked an agreement with UK-based Medicsight to integrate and distribute its computer assisted reading (CAR) software. Accordingly, Medicsight's Colon CAR, Lung CAR and Heart Screen software will be integrated into Agfa's systems for radiology and clinical specialties.

Both companies' research departments will collaborate on the development of new integrated applications that assist radiologists in detecting and measuring colon polyps, lung lesions and coronary artery calcifications, Agfa said.
