Agfa Healthcare has confirmed a series of new initiatives with three new or existing partners.

Agfa and Centura Health have inked a multi-million dollar, five-year contract. The Colorado-based consortium -- a group of 10 acute-care hospitals that are part of the Catholic Health Initiatives and Adventist Health System -- has acquired Agfa products, including computed radiography (CR) digitizers, direct thermal imagers and an assortment of medical film, including conventional wet film, mammography film, cine film, dry film as well as media for the dry imagers.

The Mortsel, Belgium-based medical imaging equipment supplier also finalized a reseller agreement with Dimension Data Holdings plc. The company's U.S. headquarters is based in Reston, Va.

Agfa will offer a range of services in conjunction with its suite of products. Dimension Data's technology services will be available through Agfa's HealthCare sales organization in the United States.

Agfa has also revealed an intended OEM agreement with Heartlab Inc. of Westerly, R.I. Under the terms of the agreement, both companies have agreed to collaborate on Agfa's next generation of IMPAX for Cardiology, with a commercial ready system expected early in 2004.
