Agfa releases tabletop CR digitizer
Agfa HealthCare announced at RSNA 2006 in Chicago its new CR 30-X, a tabletop Computed Radiography (CR) compact digitizer, designed to offer customers the same efficiency and high image quality available from full floor-size models, the company said.

The single plate CR 30-X is designed for diagnostic imaging facilities of all sizes. The compact design makes it suitable for smaller facilities or areas where space might be an issue. In addition to the smaller size and attractive price, the CR 30-X high image quality, speed and networking abilities rival larger systems in its flexibility and convenience.

The CR 30-X integrates to local PACS (Picture Archiving and Communications System) networks, allowing imaging professionals to maximize the value of their existing or future PACS.

For those facilities that have yet to replace their film-based workflows, the CR 30-X could work for them as an affordable entry into digital imaging.  For larger facilities, the CR 30-X can cost-effectively add remote areas to the digital network.

Agfa HealthCare’s NX workstation is included with the CR 30-X, for image identification and quality control for the user. The CR 30-X is is now commercially available.
