AHRA reports CRA results, announces more upcoming CRA exams
The American Healthcare Radiology Administrators (AHRA) said that 64 percent of the 28 radiology administrators who took the March 19 Certified Radiology Administrator (CRA) examination received a passing score and are now Certified Radiology Administrators.

There are currently 485 CRAs nationwide, AHRA said.

The CRA program is designed to elevate professional standards, enhance individual performance and recognize administrators who demonstrate knowledge essential to the practice of radiology management. Development of the CRA exam was supported by a grant from Kodak Health Imaging.

In related association news, AHRA said a CRA examination will be administered in paper and pencil format at AHRA's Annual Meeting & Exposition in San Antonio, Texas on August 6. In order to have an applicant's eligibility reviewed for the CRA examination, the CRA exam application must be postmarked by June 22.

In addition, the CRA examination will be administered in a computer-based format on Friday, November 4 at approximately 115 CompUSA Testing Centers located in 35 states. In order to have an applicant's eligibility reviewed for the CRA examination, the CRA exam application must be postmarked by September 20, AHRA said.
