Healthcare informatics systems developer Allscripts announced that RadiantMed, an affiliate company of MedAlliance Management Group of Johnson City, Tenn., will implement the Chicago-based firm’s TouchWorks electronic health record (EHR) to automate and connect physician practices across the region of northeast Tennessee, southwest Virginia, and western North Carolina.

The EHR will be deployed to the Tennessee Health Information Services co-operative via RadiantMed’s application-service provider (ASP) environment and will utilize the service provider’s SharedSourceFramework technology, Allscripts said.

Under terms of the agreement, RadiantMed will distribute MedAlliance TouchWorks licenses to its physician and facility client base.
