AlphaView LCD makes debut at RSNA
AlphaView LCD made the North American debut of its complete line of medical-grade LCDs at RSNA 2006 in Chicago. The 1.3, 2, 3, and 5 megapixels display line includes both color and grayscale models.
The display systems are manufactured by Hee Young Co. (HYC) which has taken the patented backlight technology developed by parent Woo Young and incorporated the technology into the AlphaView diagnostic LCD monitors. Work is now being done to use alternate backlight technologies such as EEFL (External Electrode Fluorescent Lamp) and LED (Light Emitting Diodes) as the groundwork for the next generation of AlphaView products. Incorporation of these technologies will be the catalyst to take the next generation of AlphaView products into the LCD displays of the future, the company said.
