PACS developer Ashva Technologies said it has received U.S. Food and Drug Administration 510(k) clearance for its iMagic 2.0 system. The application has been cleared for a variety of tasks including ultrasound image archiving, manipulation, creation of template-based reporting, and distribution of images on to media such as CD or printing them on standard Microsoft Windows-based printers.

In addition to the iMagic software for ultrasound, the company offers PACS and PACS components such as a DICOM converter and 2D and 3D viewers for applications in radiology, according to the Plymouth, Minn.-based U.S. office of Ashva Technologies.
