Ashva receives iMagic 510(k) clearance
PACS developer Ashva Technologies said it has received U.S. Food and Drug Administration 510(k) clearance for its iMagic 2.0 system. The application has been cleared for a variety of tasks including ultrasound image archiving, manipulation, creation of template-based reporting, and distribution of images on to media such as CD or printing them on standard Microsoft Windows-based printers.

In addition to the iMagic software for ultrasound, the company offers PACS and PACS components such as a DICOM converter and 2D and 3D viewers for applications in radiology, according to the Plymouth, Minn.-based U.S. office of Ashva Technologies.
