ASTRO adds to its staff
The American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology (ASTRO) has hired two people to aid in its research and membership departments.
ASTRO has hired Jennifer Padberg as its new director of research. Padberg previously served as assistant director of clinical affairs for the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO). At ASCO, she helped to establish the Quality Oncology Practice Initiative to promote quality cancer care at the practice level.
ASTRO also has added Steven M. Smith as the director of its membership department. Smith spent the past eight years managing educational programs and trade shows for the U.S. Postal Service as the director of marketing and educational programs with the National Postal Forum.
