Big screen promises big results for Richardson Electronics
Less than two months ago Richardson Electronics introduced their 42-inch, large screen LCD. The Image Systems FP4200MED was on display at SIIM 2007 in Providence, R.I., June 7-10, along with the company’s other products, including the 19-inch, all-in-one screen with a built-in PC. Introduced just a month ago, the compact PC/flat screen system is wireless, touch-enabled, and targeted to the EHR market.

The FP4200MED is designed specifically for use in surgical suites, operating rooms, endoscopy suites, cath labs, emergency rooms, and other specialty areas. It is DICOM-calibrated and has an add-on front sensor, and features an acrylic protective panel integrated and sealed into the bezel, enabling proper wipe-down and cleaning protocol. Its anti-reflection surface also limits the glare of bright OR lights. Fixed and mobile mounting configurations are available, including a free-standing, large-screen pole mount.

Also newly introduced was Richardson’s QC/QA service for medical imaging monitors. The new on-site program provides maintenance and calibration of multiple monitors. TekLink QC/CQ follows the DICOM Part 14 and AAPM TG18 guidelines.
