Biosound, UMI renew ultrasound distribution deal
Ultrasound developer Biosound Esaote has extended its distributor agreement with San Jose, Calif.-based United Medical Instruments (UMI) for the phlebology and vein clinic ultrasound market into a second year.

According to the Indianapolis-headquartered Biosound, UMI will offer Biosound’s MyLab25Gold and MyLabFive portable ultrasound systems, which can be used for the evaluation of varicose veins, chronic venous insufficiency, venous leg ulcers, congenital venous abnormalities, venous thromboembolism and other venous disorders.
