California provider names Bindra CMO/CMIO
Citrus Valley Health Partners (CVHP), a nonprofit, four-hospital comprehensive health system serving California’s San Gabriel Valley, has named Paveljit Bindra, MD, chief medical officer/CMIO.

Bindra brings 10 years of executive and clinical experience as a medical and information officer to CVHP, and has been with the West Covina, Calif.-based organization for nearly two years. During that time, he established CVHP’s first electrophysiology program and served as the program’s medical director.

His prior experience includes helping to establish a hospitalist program at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, consulting on the redesign of a competitive strategy for a Fortune 500 company, serving as CEO of an investment firm and, most recently, co-chairing Methodist Hospital of Southern California’s Utilization Management and Computerized Physician Order Entry committees.

During his fellowship training in cardiology and electrophysiology at the University of Pennsylvania Health System, Bindra received his MBA in both finance and healthcare management from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. He is a diplomate in internal medicine, cardiology, echocardiography, electrophysiology and nuclear cardiology.
