Cambridge Heart has reported total revenue of approximately $2.7 million for third quarter (end-Sept. 30), an increase of 32 percent from total revenue of $2 million reported during the same period of 2006.

The net loss for the quarter was $1.8 million compared to a net loss of about $810,000 in the comparable 2006 period. The operating loss for the third quarter of this year was $2 million, compared to an operating loss of about $900,000 for the same period in 2006, according to the Bedford, Mass.-based company.
