Canon introduces digital retinal camera
Canon Medical Systems has released its CF-1 digital retinal camera. According to the Lake Success, N.Y.-based company, the redesigned optical system achieves high resolution diagnostic images and offers outstanding operability, and allows for a 50° angle of view, which produces detailed retinal images.

“The CF-1 Digital Retinal Camera, coupled with our Retinal Imaging Control Software, can play a significant role in improving the efficiency of eye care exams and the management of patient data and images,” said Tsuneo Imai, director and general manager of Canon Medical Systems.

All CF-1 function on a single tabletop unit with a power supply built directly into the base. The new design will allow for closer interaction with the patient’s eyes, according to the company.
