Cardiac Imaging Pulse Quickens with Enhanced Techniques, Products
 
Radiology and cardiology practitioners can keep their fingers on the pulse of cardiac imaging with tools being showcased on the exhibit show floor of this year’s RSNA designed to increase accuracy, speed up the diagnostic process and ultimately, improve cardiovascular disease diagnosis and treatment.

Agfa HealthCare (Booth 4800) is featuring Impax X-ray Angio Analysis for reviewing DICOM x-ray angio CR and RF images with straight, bifurcation and ostial analyses.

CoActiv Medical Business Solutions (Booth 7336) is debuting new capabilities for its Exam-PACS, such as local and remote viewing with management, distribution and archiving of cardiac studies.

Emageon (Booth 8537) is featuring its HeartSuite integrated suite of cardiology tools for enterprise-wide imaging, content, and information management. It includes the Vericis image and information management system, a hemodynamics monitoring system, and the CardioVascular Information System (CVIS). 

eRAD (Booth 6254) is introducing a calcium scoring plug-in module for its eRAD PACS that identifies and classifies calcium deposits.

Fujifilm Medical Systems (Booth 4039) is highlighting updates to its ProSolv CardioVascular 4.0, including pediatric echo reporting, a Z-score module and a default echo measurement analysis package.

GE Healthcare (Booths 5529) is showcasing its Logiq i, a lightweight wireless capable ultrasound system designed for radiology or vascular studies. Also on display is GE’s LightSpeed CT750 HD that delivers, driven dose reductions and provides greater detail through the body and in the heart. In IT, GE’s Centricity Cardiology IT solutions include Centricity Cardiology DMS and Centricity CV PACS. Centricity Web allows physician web access to current and prior images across the enterprise.

McKesson (Booth 8328) is spotlighting its enterprise image management and workflow solutions, including the Horizon Cardiology CVIS and Horizon Study Share radiology teaching solution. 

Medis Medical Imaging Systems (Booth 3338) is presenting its latest version of QMass MR, with functionality for automatic contour detection of the left and right ventricle in cardiac MR images.

(Booth 3005) is highlighting the Chrysalis Breast Displacement system, which decreases breast radiation dose during CT coronary angiography and CT of the abdomen.

Philips Healthcare (Booth 7713) is displaying new features for its Allura 3D Coronary Angiography, StentBoost and Allura Xper FD 20. The DoseAware display indicates time remaining to image regions of a patient’s thorax before exceeding dose thresholds. The company also is showcasing its Xper Information Management system.

ScImage (Booth 4013) is showcasing its PICOM Structured Reportware, an echocardiography reporting module with voice recognition, as well as its PicomCIM, a clinical database that gathers data from multiple modalities for statistical reporting and accreditation purposes.

Siemens Healthcare (Booth 922) is displaying new features of its syngo Dynamics cardiology PACS version 7, including data transfer between hemodynamic monitoring systems and reporting and image management solutions. The PACS has a graphical reporting element to produce coronary tree diagrams as well as a 17-segment wall-scoring model. The company also is highlighting its Artis zee interventional imaging portfolio.

TeraRecon (Booth 209) is spotlighting its Aquarius iNtuition client, which includes tools for cardiovascular anatomy and morphology; endovascular aortic aneurysm repair planning; time density analysis; segmentation, analysis and tracking of structures; and cardiac MR.

Terason (Booth 1002) is showcasing new algorithms, lateral resolution and advanced harmonic imaging for its laptop ultrasound system, Impact 2008. 

Thinking Systems (Booth 7121) is showcasing new features for its ThinkingPACS, including archive capabilities and image management tools for CT, MRI, CR/DR, nuclear medicine, PET/CT, SPECT/CT, echocardiography and ultrasound, cardiac catheterization and angiography.

Toshiba America Medical Systems (Booth 3429) is showcasing the Infinix-i vascular x-ray product line, and a spatio-temporal image correlation gating technique. The company also is highlighting updates for its Aquilion ONE dynamic volume CT system, including SURECardio Prospective and Variable Helical Pitch (VHP).

Visage Imaging (Booth 7139) is showcasing advances in thin-client technology and advanced visualization and processing tools for cardiac imaging that are integrated within the Visage CS Thin Client/Server platform.

(Booth 9103) is featuring new web-based cardiovascular visualization, analysis and distribution capabilities for its Vitrea portfolio. The company also is highlighting its ViTAL Enterprise, a suite of clinical solutions, education, consulting and maintenance.

(Booth 909) is showcasing a new performance option for the z.one ultra system that offers transesophageal echocardiography imaging capabilities and a calculation package for left ventricle analysis and valvular pathologies.
