Cardiac Science, GE ship crash cart defibrillator
Cardiac monitoring device developer Cardiac Science of Bothell, Wash., said that it has begun full shipments of its new crash cart defibrillator as part of an existing agreement with GE Healthcare.

The crash cart defibrillator-monitor is designed specifically for use by medical professionals to respond to cardiac emergencies in hospital settings, the company said. The new defibrillator will be manufactured by Cardiac Science and sold exclusively by GE to hospitals in the United States and Canada as the Cardiac Science Powerheart ECD, and to customers outside North America as the GE Responder 2000.

GE will feature the product at the upcoming American Heart Association and MEDICA trade shows in November, Cardiac Science said.
