The FDA has cleared the latest wireless digital radiography detector from Carestream Health.
The new detector, DRX 2430C, is expected to begin shipping in the third quarter of 2013, according to the Rochester, N.Y.-based company.
The DRX 2430C detector is smaller than previous models at 25 cm x 30 cm and has high detective quantum efficiency which results in a lower dose, according to a press release from Carestream.
It will be compatible with any DRX room-based or mobile imaging system.
