Carestream Health, Collaborative Medical partner
Carestream Health and Collaborative Medical Technology Corporation (CMTC) have entered into an agreement that enables CMTC to begin selling Carestream’s line of PACS and information management services in the United States.

The two companies report they have integrated Carestream’s web-based, medical image viewing application with CMTC’s software that enables cross-enterprise sharing of electronic health records. A combined solution will be offered to several telemedicine networks later this year, according to Carestream.

Shimon Schurr, CEO of CMTC explained that because Carestream Health has open, interoperable medical imaging solutions. Its image viewing and streaming capabilities are a “complement to CMTC’s platform for specialists that need to view images remotely as a critical part of the electronic medical record.”

CMTC plans to offer these systems from Carestream Health to large regional medical centers; hospitals, telemedicine departments and specialty clinics; and federal government agencies.
