Carestream Health puts finishing touches on Parisian PACS rollout
Carestream Health reported that it has completed the rollout of its Kodak Carestream PACS platform at Assistance Publique Des Hopitaux De Paris, one of the largest healthcare groups in Europe, according to the Rochester, N.Y.-based firm. The installation across 20 sites was completed on time and within budget inside of two years, the company noted.

Assistance Publique Des Hopitaux De Paris, which includes some of the most luminary healthcare institutions in Europe, employs over 90,000 people who care for more than 5 million patients annually.

Early validation of the PACS architecture and software was completed at Trousseau Hospital, after which a pace of equipping first one, and then two sites per month, was established. As each site became fully functional, the PACS application was integrated with image capture modalities and the RIS to simultaneously manage and archive medical images and information, Carestream said.
