Carestream Health has upgraded Carestream Image Suite Software. The CR-based image acquisition and mini-PACS provides web-based patient scheduling, image review and reporting and offers archiving options.

The software contains specialized tools and functionality to address the needs of urgent care centers, imaging clinics and a broad range of physicians and specialists including orthopedists, podiatrists and chiropractors, according to Rochester, N.Y.-based Carestream. This new software, which is scheduled to be available worldwide in October, does not support mammography applications in the U.S.

Image Suite Software’s image review capabilities include magnification, annotations, common measurements, multi-format layouts and additional measurement tools. The software also provides manipulation of raw image data.
