CCHIT announces final call for commissioners, sets EHR inpatient cert. date
The U.S. Certification Commission for Healthcare Information Technology (CCHIT) issued its final call for commissioner candidates to serve a two-year term beginning this October. The application period for individuals interested in serving on the 21-member board of commissioners closes on July 31.
This year, six commission positions are open, one from each of the following stakeholder groups:
In other news, companies with inpatient electronic health record (HER) products that are interested in obtaining CCHIT Certified status will be able to apply for testing August 1 this year. The application period will remain open until August 14, the CCHIT said.

- Public health agencies
- Safety net providers
