CoActiv Medical Business Solutions (Booth 7336) is unveiling its support of breast-specific gamma imaging (BSGI) files generated by Dilon Technologies molecular breast imaging gamma cameras and other similar devices on its Exam-PACS product.
Debuting at RSNA 2008 is Exam-PACS support of BSGI files; BSGI utilizes specialized breast imaging protocols and high-resolution nuclear medicine gamma cameras specifically engineered for breast applications to visualize disease through the functional uptake of a radiotracer. Integration and proper display of nuclear medicine files has traditionally been a significant challenge for most PACS vendors.
Images can be displayed side by side with digital mammography, breast ultrasound and breast MRI images on the same workstation in Exam-PACS, the company says.
