CHICAGO, Nov. 28—Healthcare information technology developer Compressus reported that remote diagnostic image reading firm E-Rad Solutions of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., has selected its MEDxConnect system to fuel its entry into the teleradiology market at the 93rd meeting of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA).

The MEDxConnect system acts as a communications hub, enabling various PACS, HIS, RIS and other data information systems to connect and communicate across an enterprise. Utilizing HL7, DICOM, and other standards, the product helps control the flow of images, reports, messages, standard patient demographics and other important data for diagnosis and treatment planning of a patient between independent and disparate systems, according to Compressus.
