CompuMed Inc. announced the appointment of Maurizio Vecchione as its new president and CEO. Vecchione had previously served as a consultant to CompuMed.

Vecchione serves as a managing partner of Pacific Palisades, Calif.-based private equity and venture fund Synthetica Holdings, LLC, and chairman of Synthetica (America) Ltd., a management consultancy.
