ConforMIS unveils orthopedic implant device developed from CT scan
ConforMIS, an orthopedics company that develops minimally invasive medical devices for the treatment of osteoarthritis and joint damage, has launched the iUni uni-compartmental knee resurfacing implant and its accompanying iJig disposable instrumentation designed from an individual patient’s CT scan.

The iUni is a uni-compartmental resurfacing implant designed for patients whose arthritic damage is isolated to either the medial or lateral compartments of the knee, with little damage present in the other compartments, the Burlington, Mass.-based company said.

The implant is available for either the medial or lateral compartments and is 510(k) cleared for marketing by the FDA and CE Marked for Sale in Europe.
