Crown to distribute radiology speech applications in the U.S.
Crown International Distributing has secured the exclusive rights for the U.S. distribution of PhoneidoS, which includes speech applications for radiology reporting, from Gruppo Soluzioni Tecnologiche (GST) of Trento, Italy.
PhoneidoS includes both dictation and voice commands to select patient by name and manage application functionality, as well as operating in both interactive and deferred mode, according to Bloomington, Ill.-based Crown.
GST has been developing speech recognition applications since 1994, with over 3,000 workstations installed in around 320 sites throughout Europe. GST has sites in Germany, Spain, as well as Italy.
