Digisonics adds Philips QLAB to image management, clinical reporting platforms
Digisonics, a provider of image management and reporting systems for cardiology, OB/GYN and radiology, has interfaced its DigiView and OB-View systems with QLAB, an advanced ultrasound quantification software package from Philips Healthcare.

A single mouse click launches Philips QLAB directly from a clinical study on the Digisonics workstation. 3D/4D volume analysis and review then takes place on the Digisonics system instead of the ultrasound machine. The post-processed images may be stored as AVI or DICOM files to Digisonics or other PACS systems for further review or long-term archiving, according to the Houston-based company.

Diana McSherry, president of Digisonics, said that the QLAB interface, installed at selected Digisonics cardiology and OB sites, provides users with a fast, transparent communication channel.
