Draeger's inaccurate dosage calculations result in recall
The FDA has issued a Class I recall of the Draeger Medical's Infinity Acute Care System monitoring tool, which was manufactured between March and September. The product was distributed solely to the Rush University Medical Center in Chicago.

The Infinity Acute Care System monitoring tool was recalled because the patient monitoring product's “weight-based dosage calculation may indicate incorrect recommended values.”

According to an FDA statement, a letter was sent to Rush University to alert employees to ensure that drug dosages were calculated clearly.
