Eclipsys: deploys Sunrise, releases clinical application suite
Eclipsys Corp. this week announced that Pittsburgh, Penn.-based health system West Penn Allegheny Health Systems (WPAHS) will implement the company's Sunrise Clinical Manager at four of its facilities.
   
The health system, which serves the surrounding five-state area, will also launch several of Eclipsys' other applications -- including integrated systems for physicians and nurses, as well as Sunrise Medication Management, Sunrise ED Manager, Sunrise Critical Care, and Knowledge-Based Charting Solutions.
   
The implementation process will begin within the next few weeks at Allegheny General Hospital and The Western Pennsylvania Hospital, both in Pittsburgh; Forbes Regional Hospital in Monroeville; and AGH-Suburban Campus in Bellevue.
   
The Eclipsys software will be remotely hosted at the Eclipsys Technology Solutions Center (TSC) located in Mountain Lakes, N.J., and delivered via a new wireless infrastructure designed and installed by Eclipsys.
   
In related company news, Eclipsys released the Sunrise 4.0 XA suite that contains features and enhancements in 16 key areas.
