Eclipsys, VHA add muscle to partnership
A new three year agreement makes Eclipsys Corp. a supplier of clinical information systems for healthcare cooperative VHA.
The new contract, an extension to a previous agreement between the two entities, will allow the pair to work more closely to aid VHA members in the adoption and implementation of Eclipsys' clinical and financial systems, as well as the procurement of consulting, outsourcing and transformation services. Eclipsys said it will leverage the expertise and client relationships of consultants from VHA's Integrated Delivery Team, in addition to VHA technology experts across the U.S.
The new agreement is more services-focused than the initial contract the two companies signed in 1999, Eclipsys said.
