Eclipsys Corporation and Zynx Health, a provider of evidence-based clinical decision support, yesterday announced a deal that will enable customers using Eclipsys' Sunrise Clinical Manager to add Zynx's clinical content and content-management tools to the integrated modules of the Eclipsys system.
   
Specifically, Eclipsys customers utilizing the company’s computerized physician order entry (CPOE) system will now be able to add more than 3,400 evidence summaries and 450 order set templates from ZynxOrder, as well as use Zynx Health's authoring tools. This includes the authoring capabilities of ZynxOrder in combination with the configuration, mapping and execution capabilities of Sunrise Clinical Manager, which the companies feel will provide caregivers increased ability to meet established standards for practicing care and improve workflows via context-based content. Users also will have access to Clinical Manager's Arden syntax-based rules engine and orders-to-flowsheet system capabilities.
