eHealth Initiative launches search for CEO
The boards of directors for the eHealth Initiative and its Foundation have begun the search for a new CEO.
The eHealth Initiative and the Foundation for eHealth Initiative are independent, non-profit affiliated organizations whose missions are to drive improvement in the quality, safety and efficiency of healthcare through information and IT. The eHealth Initiative is a organization that represents various sectors of healthcare. eHI engages a set of stakeholders, including clinicians, consumer and patient groups, employers and healthcare purchasers, health IT suppliers, health plans, hospitals and other providers, laboratories, pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers, pharmacies, public health agencies, quality and standards organizations, and state and community-based organizations
The candidate will have the opportunity, as CEO of eHealth Initiative, to develop the long-term direction for the organization in collaboration with the board and provide strategic leadership, as well as oversight of the organization's policy development, programs, operations, and staff. The CEO will be the main spokesperson for the organization and the chief liaison to other organizations and efforts. Candidates should have extensive experience in healthcare policy and operations, including executive-level management responsibilities. The CEO will lead strategic as well as operational activities for the organization. The position directly supervises a team of twelve staff members and a budget of approximately $2 million.
