Eizo adds new color and grayscale displays to portfolio
Dec. 6 – Eizo GmbH Display Technologies, formerly Siemens Automation and Drives, showcased new color and grayscale displays to its portfolio of monitors in the medical field for surgery and modalities during the 93rd scientific assembly and annual meeting of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) at McCormick Place in Chicago.

“Under the name of Eizo Display, we hope that customers will have a lot more quality products to choose from in our new portfolio as well as have more international support,” said Gertrud Schroetel, product management and marketing, Eizo.

The Karlsruhe, Germany-based Eizo said its 1 megapixel, 19-inch displays, the SCD 19102 and SMD 19102, feature the latest viewing angle technology and high luminance of up to 280 candelas per square meter (cd/m2) for the color display and 1000 cd/m2 for the grayscale display.

Both displays are available with two different options: a non-reflective protective glass screen and a multifunctional stand, according to Eizo. Continuous color calibration and monitoring of the backlighting via internal stability system allow for a homogeneous image when viewing side-by-side displays, the company said.

Eizo Displays also showcased a 5 megapixel, 21-inch monochrome display, which the company said is suitable for mammography diagnosis  and PACS applications. The high-resolution monitor has 2048 x 2560 pixels and a luminance of 750 cd/m2.
