Eli Lilly adopts Acceleware image reconstruction for micro-CT
Pharmaceutical company Eli Lilly has adopted Acceleware’s AxRecon image reconstruction solution for micro-CT.

Lilly selected the AxRecon solution to speed up image reconstruction times used in the pharmaceutical development process, according to the Calgary, Alberta-based Acceleware.

The company said pharmaceutical researchers use CT scanners in the drug development process to observe the effects of novel drug candidates on anatomy. Acceleware said its solution eliminates the computer processing bottleneck in image reconstruction workflow and speeds up the evaluation of drug effectiveness.

Acceleware also said its application acceleration platform utilizes the power of Nvidia graphic processing units to dramatically increase the speed of sophisticated computations, saving on power and space while maintaining image quality.
