Medical image and information management developer Emageon reported a downturn in sales revenues for its fiscal 2007 second quarter (end-June 30); however, the Birmingham, Ala.-based firm was able to trim its net losses for the period.

Revenue for the quarter was $25.6 million, a 14.8 percent decrease from second quarter 2006 revenue of $30 million. The net loss for the period was $300,000, an improvement compared with the $900,000 in net loss posted for the same period last year.

Emageon said it had net positive operating cash flow of $3.7 million for the second quarter of 2007, a substantial gain of $7.7 million over net negative operating cash flow of $4 million in first quarter 2007.
