EMC
EMC (Booth 4425) is showcasing new solutions that enable healthcare organizations to deploy information infrastructure.

A new solution that will be demonstrated is the EMC Open Systems Archive Solution for Healthcare, which redefines the role that technology can play in a healthcare information infrastructure. Based on a service-oriented architecture (SOA), the modular offering discovers, collects, secures, retains and migrates healthcare information across applications throughout the enterprise. The offering allows documents, patient records, images, prescriptions, invoices and other unstructured content to be accessed via a secure virtual and federated repository.

Another new offering from EMC helps healthcare organizations manage risk and comply with regulations for Protected Health Information (PHI). The Information Risk Management Solution for PHI from RSA, the Security Division of EMC, offers an information-centric approach to security that empowers healthcare organizations to meet the demanding needs of patients, physicians, contractors and other healthcare staff by mitigating risks to sensitive information that contribute to the quality of patient care and patient satisfaction.

EMC CLARiiON CX4 with flash-drive technology is based on a new architecture for VMware and other virtual server environments. Its integration with VMware Site Recovery Manager forms a simple, turnkey solution for VMware disaster recovery, while integration with the RSA enVision platform provides an automated approach for the management of event data.

EMC Symmetrix DMX-4 with flash-drive technology was the industry's first enterprise storage system available with integrated solid-state drives (SSDs). SSDs utilize flash memory to store and retrieve data.

EMC Disk Library 4000 is an open-systems virtual tape library (VTL) that features data de-duplication, spin down and low-power disk drives to reduce power and cooling. The DL 4000 is targeted at environments that require the highest performance for larger SAN environments. The new disk drive spin down option for the DL 4000 series is free and enables customers to reduce their overall power and cooling costs.

EMC Documentum ECM 6.5 is a new suite of enterprise-level document and content management solutions integrated with Web 2.0 technologies for modern collaboration and communication.
