Emdeon Corporation has changed its name to HLTH Corporation. The company said its Nasdaq ticker symbol will remain HLTH. This change of name is part of the sales terms following last year’s purchase by General Atlantic of a 52 percent interest in the company’s Emdeon Business Services unit. Emdeon Business Services will continue to use the Emdeon name.

The change affects only the company's corporate name. The names of HLTH's business segments and the brands used for their products and services will not change. HLTH Corporation's businesses include: WebMD Health, health information services, serving consumers, physicians, and healthcare; ViPS, healthcare analytics, technology and reporting; and Porex, a manufacturer and distributor of porous plastic products and components used in healthcare, industrial and consumer applications.
