Empiric Systems has inked a partnership with FUJIFILM Medical Systems USA using their respective web-based PACS and web-based RIS to provide a complete radiology PACS/RIS system to out-patient imaging centers. The offering will target out-patient imaging facilities and include a streamlined financial package; the companies are working to combine both systems into an integrated application, the companies said. 

“The outpatient imaging PACS market is rapidly growing and presents a unique set of requirements to address," said Bob Cooke, executive director of Marketing and Product Development, Fuji. Through the combination of Fuji’s Synapse and Empiric’s Encompass.NET, the companies hope to provide customers in smaller hospitals and imaging centers with an affordable, full-featured system designed for their specific needs, he added.
