EMRCompare, a comparison of EMR systems, will make its debut at TEPR 2007, May 19-23, at the Dallas Convention Center. Participating EMR vendors will demonstrate the usability of their products based on a mock patient-provider encounter scenario. The comparison includes information on the systems by price, features and usability. The demonstration has been constructed to give physicians the opportunity to get first-hand knowledge of differences in EMR systems and provide insight toward making the right EMR product selection for their practice. EMRCompare will become a year-round resource for physicians. Comparison information will be available on Medical Records Institute Inc.'s website and will eventually be searchable by size of practice, price, product category, functionality and usability. Screen-shot and audio recordings of the usability demonstrations at TEPR will also be available online.
