EMS scoops up Templeton Readings
EmCare, a subsidiary of Emergency Medical Services (EMS), has acquired teleradiology services provider Templeton Readings. The purchase price was not disclosed.

Founded in 2001, Baltimore-based Templeton Readings provides radiology imaging services in 31 states and agreements, representing a network of radiologists across the United States.

The Greenwood Village, Colo.-based EMS said it expects the acquisition to contribute about $20 million in new annual net revenue to the company.

In conjunction with the acquisition, Philip Templeton, founder of Templeton Readings, will continue as president of Templeton Readings. He also joined as vice president of strategy and development of RadStaffing Management Solutions, a subsidiary of EmCare Holdings, EMS’ hospital-based management services segment.
