eRAD CEO Peter Karoly killed in plane crash
Peter Karoly, the CEO of Greenville, S.C.-based PACS provider eRAD was killed in a plane crash last Friday, The Express-Times reports. The crash, which also took the lives of his wife, Dr. Lauren Angstadt, and pilot Mike Milot, took place in Massachusetts as their single-engine turboprop Socata crashed in a wooded area on approach to New Bedford Regional Airport. According to reports, weather was foggy in the area during the time of the crash and certain runway lights that were not operating might have contributed to the accident. Karoly is a native of Allentown, Pa. and worked as medical malpractice lawyer in the region. His wife was a dentist also practicing in the area.
