FDA approves nuclear imaging system from Medx
The FDA has granted Medx 510(k) clearance for its new nuclear imaging system, the T-Quest mobile gamma camera.

The Arlington Heights, Ill.-based Medx said its T-Quest is a portable, gamma camera, designed for thyroid imaging and uptake calculations, but can perform any small organ imaging.

The T-Quest works in conjunction with the NuQuest acquisition and processing computer providing a standalone system, Medx said. The company said that the onboard NuQuest computer provides energy, linearity and uniformity corrections and its software features customizable thyroid and parathyroid protocols along with a host of general nuclear image processing tools. The NuQuest, a user interface with pull-down menus, features DICOM 3.0 print, file export and modality worklist capabilities, according to Medx.
