FDA clears Toshibas Aquilion Prime CT
The FDA has cleared Toshiba America Medical Systems’ Aquilion Prime CT system.

Prime is the latest in the Aquilion CT product line and part of the One family of CT scanners, according to Tustin, Calif.-based Toshiba. The system uses the coneXact reconstruction algorithm and can generate 160 unique slices per rotation.

Aquilion Prime includes Adaptive Iterative Dose Reduction and NEMA XR 25 Dose Check software to reduce radiation dose.
