FDA issues 510(k) clearance for U.S. Electronics' CCL316 Totoku monitor

U.S. Electronics (USEI) has received 510(k) clearance from the FDA to market its CCL316 three-megapixel color LCD for diagnostic medical applications.

The CCL316 flat-panel monitor is designed for diagnostic reading of medical images in a full range of modalities.

The USEI Totoku CCL316 LCD has a 20.8-inch screen (measured diagonally) with full-color (16.77 million colors) for multi-modality applications, including CT and MRI. It also offers viewing angles of 170 degrees in all directions, a 350:1 contrast ratio and both digital (DVI) video input.

The unit includes a universal VESA mounting for wall and desk monitoring and meets worldwide medical safety approvals, such as UL2601-1 and radio wave standards such as MDD/CE.
