Foresight updates TIMS DICOM software
Foresight Imaging announced TIMS DICOM System software version 2.2 at the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) annual meeting in Chicago, Nov. 30 through Dec. 4.

The company said its TIMS version 2.2 includes: audio recording and annotation; audio playback; audio recording to CD/DVD; file attachment; editing of saved studies; TIF and JPEG 2000 file import; DICOM send lists; study editing improvements; and other general workflow enhancements. TIMS converts any non-DICOM medical modality to DICOM. The resulting digital study can be sent to PACS, recorded to CD/DVD/USB and printed to film or paper.

TIMS captures static images and streaming video at 30 frames per second, 15 frames per second, or at virtually any frame rate desired. TIMS also converts to DICOM the JPG, BMP, and AVI images generated in pathology, dermatology, and ophthalmology applications, Foresight said.
