Fujitsu showcases the smallest, lightest notebooks in healthcare
Fujitsu Computer Products of America showcased at HIMSS06 last week in San Diego its most popular notebook computers in the healthcare arena. The 2.2 pound LifeBook P1500 convertible notebook available with Microsoft Windows XP Professional or Microsoft Windows XP Tablet PC Edition 2005 is the industry's smallest and lightest convertible notebook, and can convert from a conventional notebook into a slate tablet. The LifeBook P1500 notebook is equipped with an 8.9-inch SVGA touch screen display, full PC functionality and long battery life. The newly designed lightweight LifeBook P7120 notebook is the smallest and lightest full-featured notebook (approx. 3 lbs/10.6-inch LED lit widescreen display) with a built-in, but removable media bay (for optical drive or extra battery), ECO button for extended battery life and security features such as biometrics and TPM standard. Fujitsu is the only company to offer notebooks with passive and active digitizers. Users have documented a savings of about 17 minutes per patient visit with the use of the touchscreen.
