GE adds advanced visualization software; updates education website
GE Healthcare is debuting the Volume Viewer Plus software for its Advantage Workstation (AW) for analysis of large image data sets from PET, MR, CT, XR, and vascular.
 
GE said features of the Volume Viewer Plus include: adjustable viewport sizes for flexible review; expanded PET/CT Review including pre-built protocols and an intuitive compare mode Expert Layout Guides to guide new and experienced users with clinically relevant workflow sequences; multi-object opacity settings for distinct visualization and to personalize viewing preferences; and new 3D Save State to save all four viewport settings with series and enable customization of preferred review settings.

The new technology will be showcased at next week's Radiological Society of North America's annual meeting, Nov. 28- Dec. 2, in Chicago.
  
In related news, GE Healthcare said it has updated its educational website that is designed for clinicians, engineers and hospital staff. The reformatted site offers an expanded variety of education and training services for GE Healthcare products in one easy-to-navigate location.
