GE Healthcare on Thursday broke ground for a new digital x-ray detector production facility at the Rensselaer Technology Park in Troy, N.Y.

The project, first announced in May, was stalled after officials with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers considered part of the property protected wetlands. GE and Rensselaer officials decided to change the layout of the new plant to avoid the land in question.
GE said it expects to have 150 employees at the site.
