GE Healthcare, CenTrak release RFID tracking system
GE Healthcare has released a predominantly battery-operated radio frequency ID (RFID) tracking system in partnership with CenTrak of Newtown, Pa.

The companies said their RFID systems will enable healthcare facilities to reduce installation barriers and costs, compared to current RFID systems, enabling them to maximize return-on-investment (ROI) potential. The system also has the ability to view locations at the room level, the companies said.

The hybrid DualTrak product, operating on both CenTrak’s GEN2IR TM technology and 900 Megahertz RF, also employs CenTrak’s RTLS, and is a battery-powered RTLS system with room-level accuracy, according to the companies.
