GE Healthcare is introducing a first-of-its-kind imaging system optimized to perform both cardiac and peripheral studies in a single lab.

The Innova 3100 utilizes GE's flat-panel detector technology for physicians to see the vessels and anatomy of the heart, as well as vessels all the way to the fingertips. GE added that the Innova 3100's images are so detailed that physicians can more clearly see and safely maneuver devices, such as catheters, stents and guidewires.

Innova 3100 is the newest addition to the GE's line of Innova digital flat-panel cardiovascular and interventional imaging systems. GE estimates there are more than 800 systems installed worldwide.
